Ji Jin-Hee Tests His Pulling Power in Southeast Asia

Korean actor Ji Jin-hee is using his growing star power in Southeast Asia to drum up audiences for a new pan-Asian film he stars in. “Perhaps Love” was directed by Peter Chan, who also produced and irected “Comrades: Almost a Love Story” in 1996. Ji started a trip to China last Wednesday and is scheduled to stop over in Hong Kong this Tuesday. From there he is off to tour Malaysia, Singapore and Taiwan until the end of the year. Ji has hit the road both to promote the movie he stars in and to look after his growing fan base in the region.
It was the historical soap “Daejanggeum (Jewel in the Palace)” that first catapulted him to popularity in Southeast Asia. Given that Ji’s co-stars in “Perhaps Love” include Kaneshiro Takeshi, Jacky Cheung and Xun Zhou, it is a measure of his clout in the region that he is heading promotional efforts for the film there.

I’m not really a fan of Ji Jin Hee, but after I saw the show “Dae Jang Geum” aka “Jewel In The Palace” I started liking him and and Lee Young Ae!!!!! I hope that Jewel In The Palace will be airing again!!! I’m dying to watch it again!!!

i love jewel in the palace when i watch it. i like the character of them. because of this noble i know now the history of korean palace and their dinasty. the noble is very fantastic i lik e it very much. i wish u can visit phil. so that u will know that the noble have many fan. i wish there have many noble like this that will be published.

Hi, I actually decided not to watch Jewel in the Palace because of its late time slot but when my Aunt told me how beautiful the story was, I tried to watch it and she is right. I am now a fan of Ms. Lee Young-Ae and Mr. Ji Jin-hee. I hope that the some of the cast try to visit the philippines. I can really say that “Dae Janggeum aka Jewel in the Palace” is the best story I have ever seen because I have never been touch by a soap opera before. I also love the scenes of Jang Geum and Capt. Min JUng-ho. I also prefer him with beard than his original look. I also want you guys to know that many people are watching this korean drama even my teacher, my classmates, the priest in our church and my Aunts because for them it is corny but not the Jewel in the Palace. Hi!!! i’m Korean drama’s fan. i love it so much. Korean dramas is better than dramas in my countries. When i saw the advertising of Jewel in The Palace i knew it will be a great drama. At time i didn’t know who is Lee Young Ae and Jin Ji Hee. But i know them now. I like them!! they are a great Actres and actor.many people loves to watch Jewel In The Palace. Even my mum, dad loves watch it. It has great story an team works (actress, actors, director, etc). Please come to Indonesia.. there are many fans of Jang Geum and capt. hay napanood nyo ba kagabi ung scene nila kapitan??? hay kakakilig noh, may isang scene dun na hahawakan ulit ni kapitan ung kamay ni jang geum pero hndi na sya tatakbo hehe. sa monday maganda ung story kc pupunta n c Gang Duk-doo sa jeju tapos magkikita na cla ni jang geum. ay kwekwento pa pla ni jang duk about sa family nya, kc ayaw nya gamutin ung tao na dahilan kung bakit namatay ung parents nya. hay sana monday n noh!

This drama is the best drama that i’ve ever seen! At first, i didn’t like Ji Jin Hee, but his parts with Jang Geum are just so romantic! (>_

Wow…. It’s realy a gorgeous movie..!!! I’ve been watching this movie thousand times and never felt boring to see it again and again. I always found something new from this movie… Actually, I ‘m not a kind who like colosal or historical movie, but I fall in love with this movie since the first time I saw it.

It took me a few months to consider to watch Jewel In Palace series,but after I watched it, especially the last 5 episodes, i replayed 5 times. So in love with Sir Min (Jin Hee Ji). He is so kind hearted, charming and also the way he looks to JG. I tried to find out more about him, finally, I found another fans of Jen Hee Ji. Wish both of u come to Jakarta. I really love your acting in Dae Jung Geum…I love every scene of this movie, even the story is full with the intrigue of crimes but it makes the story more alive than other historical drama that I ever seen… I never felt bored event I had watch this movie thousand times. Oh wow! I have never seen in my whole life a beautiful soap opera without the kissing and all those lusty scenes. I am so thankful that you guys came up with very beautiful story like Jewel in the Palace. What I really liked about it is, it is historical, inspiring, the actors are all very good and the director, congratulations you are indeed a very good asian director. I hope other telenovelas follow suit, that they could come up with beautifuful and inspiring story without the usual sampalan, cursing and pulling of hair and shouting and lustfully kissing and mashing and all those yucky things. Jewel in the palace is the best movie.
It makes me know about culture of Korea.
I love Janggeum because she is diligent, enthusiastic, patient, honest to her duty, have ideal,etiquette etc.
I think a reason makes Junggeum have success is she has good teacher such as Han-Sanggung, Jungdoc and her mother.
Thank you the director of this drama, performers and all of team. Thanks for make the good drama for me and other person.
I am hoping, you will present the good drama for earth inhabitants forever.

Hi.I had no information about the Korean movies and cinema but,after watching the movie”jewel in the palace”, I think the korean Cinema has great potential which should be flourished.Ji Jin Hee was my best acter in this movie because ao the pure and absolute calmness in his manner and voic.wish him more success.
